花見だんごを作ってみました

最近の日本旅から帰ってから、和菓子を興味に持つようになりました。それで、今週末に、友達の誕生日パーティーに何やら和菓子を作って見ようと思いました。今、桜がだんだん咲き始めますので、「花見だんご」を作ることにしました。

初めてだんごを作りましたので、作り方をよく習いました。このだんごはいちごと抹茶が入っています。

できあがっただんご

作り方はこのようなステップがあります。

とうふと上新粉と白玉粉と砂糖を混ぜて、強い生地になります。生地はかなりドライになればいいです。さもないと、玉に作りにくいです。

生地を3つに分けて、切り込んだいちごや抹茶を入れます。いちごが水が入っているので、もう少し白玉粉を入れます。

3色の生地

生地を小さい玉に丸めて、熱湯に入れます。１分ぐらい茹でて、仕上がったら、浮かび始まります。

浮かんでいるだんご

浮かんだだんごを取って、水にいれます。そして、串に刺して出来上がります。

余分ないちごだんごがありました。

自己紹介

初めてたかこ先生と日本語を話すれんしゅうをしました。自己紹介をしたり、会社と同僚について話しました。


私の名前はEddyです。ニュージーランド出身でから来て、今シドニーに住んでいます。（会社）で働いていて、プログラミングをします。しゅみは服を作ることです。この膝丈のワンピースはを自分で作りました！体を動かすことが苦手私はなまけもので、スポーツがきらいです >.<;

高校生の時に横浜へ留学しました。２ヶ月間ホームステイしました。その家族は２００年前の家に住んでいてがあって、そこにいっしょに住めたことはとてもいいけいけんだったとお思います。よく日本語をたくさん勉強習いしましたけど、あまり書いたり読んだりしませんでしたから、漢字がまだにがてだと思います。

最近、会社で新しいチームに入りました。本社は東京の六本木ヒルズにあって、もうすぐに出張でそこへ行きします。もう初めて出張はもう７月にきまっています。なって、早すぎると思います！でも、先月に同僚がはシドニーに来て、英語でスピーチをしました。同僚は英語がじょうずに話せます。それにから、六本木ヒルズにはも外人もがたくさんいますから大丈夫だと思います。これでも、せっかく勉強してきた日本語ですから、きっとが役に立つはずです。

「みんなの日本語」の文法の学び続ける

きのう、italkiにで二番目の日本語のレッスンをしました。から先生と「みんなの日本語」からの文法について話し続きけました。このレッスンは１時間でしたから、今度今回のテーマは４つのテーマの話でした。

１。〜のようだ・〜のような〜・〜のように〜（前からの続きです）
レッスンからの例：
A：どんな町に住みたいですか。B：シドニーのようなにぎやか町に住みたいです。
A：どんな映画が好きですか。B：「Mad Max」と言う映画のようなドキドキする映画が好きです。
（aside: から先生は「Game of Thronesのような斬新なテレビシリーズが好きです」と言いました。

２。〜ことは／が／を
This makes a verb or phrase ending with a verb into a noun, which is useful for using it as the subject or object in a sentence.　〜ことは is more formal than 〜の.
例：
子供の時にけいけんしておけばいいと思うことは何ですか。
外国語をならうことはいいけいけんになると思います。
水泳をならうことはいいけいけんになると思います。
(this gets a little repetitive, doesn't it!)

Aside discussion: 〜ておく・〜てある
〜ておく is used when something is be done in preparation for something else.
〜てある is used when something is completed in preparation for something else.
例：友達とパーティーのじゅんびをしていました。友達に「飲み物を買っておいてください。」を聞いてと言ったら、友達は「もう買ってあるよ」と言いました。

３。〜を〜と言う
Something is called something else.
例：
「子供」はマオリ語で「タマリキ」と言います。

４。〜という〜
西オーストラリアには、「バオアブ」と言う木があります。よくマダガスカルの面白い形の「バオバブ」と言う木によく似ています。

italkiで日本語のレッスンをしました。

今日、初めてitalkiにで日本語のレッスンをしました。Kara先生と「みんなの日本語中級１」と言う教科書からにのっている文法について話しました。トライアル・セッションは３０分だけですでしたから、２つのテーマだけでした。

１。〜てもらえませんか・〜ていただけませんか・〜てもらえないでしょうか・ていただけないでしょうか
These are vaguely in order of politeness, although all are quite polite. They are more polite than 〜てください。
Something like: "Could you ..." and "Would you mind ..."
レッスンからの例:
（先生に）すみません。日本語でレポートを書いたんですが、ちょっと見ていただけないでしょうか。
（管理人に）しばらく留守にするので、荷物をが届いたら預かっていただけないでしょうか。

An aside discussion point was when to use 〜んですが: This is kind of adding some emotion to the sentence. If you say
「日本語でレポートを書きました」then the response is likely to be something like 「よくできました」. However if you say 「日本語でレポートを書いたんですが」, the listener will expect something to come after (like you to asking them to look at it). In the case of the other example in the lesson, you might not want to use it because you're asking a big favour and you don't want them to say no before you finish asking it.

A second aside discussion was about passive verbs:
招待する 　-> I invite
招待される　-> I am invited

other examples:
蹴る・蹴られる（ける・けられる）to kick / to be kicked
叩く・たたかれる（たたく・たたかれる）to hit / to be hit
食べる・食べられる to eat / something is eaten by somebody else. So it goes something like 「クッキは誰かに食べられた！」
泣く・泣かれる　　to cry / somebody else cries (not to be confuse with the causative 泣かせる, to make cry. そう言えば、「Monsters University」と言う映画にはマイクとサリーが「怖がらせること」を勉強する。それこれはむかんけいだけど...)　

２。〜のようだ・〜のような〜・〜のように〜
These basically make something an adjective or adverb for "like ~".
山の上から見た景色はきれいで、まるで絵画のようです。

まるで is something like "as if", so the above sentence translates to something like "The scenery I saw from the top of the mountain was beautiful, just like a painting."
